Filter: Baclyser IL3
P/N: 49404, QCK08, 48120
Higher education facility, Pacific Northwest. After installing new lines and following hot water and disinfectant flushing via internal procedures, test results indicated pathogenic bacteria remained present above acceptable concentrations.
- Install Evaluation Interior of drinking fountain water station presents a confined space, restricting compatibility of larger filter models. Irregular water usage and low water throughput volume lead to bacterial concerns. System carbon filtration removes disinfectant in water supply. Bacterial filter must be installed post carbon filter. Inline bacterial filter solution for drinking fountain water station with ability to flush with disinfectant.
- Service Recommendation Installation of Baclyser IL3 0.2 µm filter (P/N: 49404) in all bottle filler & drinking fountain water stations. Recommended incorporation of disinfection port and disinfection system.
- Installation 33 initial filter installations incorporating disinfection port resulting in subsequent expanded campus coverage. Baclyser IL3 installed at affected drinking fountains using inline push connect fittings with disinfection port (P/N: QCK08) and Disinfection Syringe Kit (P/N: 48120) for easy injection of secondary disinfectant.
- Resolution No ongoing bacterial pathogen concern post filter installation and chemical remediation.
Resume regular monitoring. Replace filters every 6 months or sooner as filter life is consumed. Disinfect the system regularly using the disinfection port.
